ICG NHS ester
Cat. No. List below
Description
The dye can be effectively excited using 750-800 nm laser lines or LED sources, positioning it in the optimal NIR region for deep tissue imaging. This spectral profile allows for visualization of structures several millimeters below the skin surface, significantly reducing background autofluorescence and enhancing signal-to-noise ratios in biological samples.
The NHS ester reactive group readily forms stable amide bonds with primary amines found in proteins, antibodies, and amino-modified oligonucleotides. This reactivity ensures efficient and durable labeling of various biomolecules, including the ε-amino groups of lysine residues and the amine termini of nucleotides.
ICG NHS ester is particularly well-suited for antibody and protein labeling, peptide conjugation, ligand modification, cellular labeling, NIR imaging in vivo and in vitro, and amplification substrate optimization. The versatility of ICG NHS ester makes it an excellent choice for researchers developing new biomarkers, studying protein interactions, or enhancing imaging techniques in fields such as oncology, immunology, and neuroscience.
ICG NHS ester represents a significant advancement in NIR fluorescent labeling technology. Its combination of excellent optical properties, enhanced reactivity, and broad applicability makes it an essential tool for researchers pushing the boundaries of bioimaging and molecular biology. As imaging technologies continue to evolve, ICG NHS ester is poised to play a crucial role in developing new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in both research and clinical settings.
What are the advantages?
1. Enhanced Reactivity: The NHS ester modification allows for more controlled and efficient conjugation compared to unmodified ICG.
2. Stable Conjugates: Forms chemically stable amide bonds with target molecules, ensuring long-lasting fluorescence signals for extended experimental timeframes.
3. Deep Tissue Imaging: NIR fluorescence enables visualization of structures deep within tissues, ideal for in vivo imaging applications.
4. Reduced Autofluorescence: The NIR spectral range minimizes interference from biological autofluorescence, enhancing signal clarity.
5. Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of biomolecules and applications, from cellular labeling to in vivo imaging.
6. Compatibility: Can be used with various imaging systems designed for NIR fluorescence detection.

Background
ICG Dyes
ICG is clinically approved NIR dye and used in medical diagnostics, in vitro, vivo and animal model study. NIR fluorescence allows to observe the deep image from the surface of skin and its usage spreads to a wide range of research fields. ICG fluorescence method is safe and cost effective technique and used in a wide range of medical fields such as breast cancer sentinel lymph node navigation, detecting cerebral vessels, coronary arteries and biliary trees, tracking tumor location, detecting small HCC, etc. The method has several advantages such as radiation free, compact instrumentation, real-time monitoring, easy operation, etc. The maximum excitation/emission values of ICG are 785/821 nm. When ICG is injected into a human body, it rapidly bound to plasma protein, mainly high-density lipoprotein, and generates red-shifted fluorescence (845 nm). ICG in aqueous solution is unstable over time, thus the fresh solution should be used for effective trials. BioActs provides ICG dye for biological research and medical diagnostics and also offers various reactive and functionalized ICG dyes for labeling of antibodies, peptides, proteins and ligands.
