General information 

Description

The spalt (sal) genes encodes proteins characterized by multiple double zinc-finger motifs of C2H2 type, which were first found in Drosophila. Mutations in SALL4 which is one of sal-related genes in human cause an autosomal disorder known as Okihiro syndrome. The mouse homolog of Sall4 is essential for early embryogenesis and for the proliferation of ES cells.

Origin

Produced in BALB/c mouse ascites after inoculation with hybridoma of mouse myeloma cells (NS-1) and spleen cells derived from a BALB/c mouse immunized with Baculovirus-expressed recombinant mouse Sall4 (95-216 aa) .
