In this sandwich ELISA, Rat Interleukin 1β,IL-1β in the sample is captured between a pre-coated capture antibody and a detection antibody. Signal intensity is proportional to analyte concentration. Quantification uses a standard curve fitted with Curve Expert software, covering 31.25 pg/mL-2000 pg/mL with a minimum detectable dose of 15.6 pg/mL.
This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in rat samples, supporting research into innate immune signaling, neuroinflammation, and inflammatory disease models. Because IL-1β is a rapidly induced, tightly regulated cytokine whose circulating levels can vary dramatically between baseline and acute inflammatory states, selecting an assay with appropriate range and sensitivity is critical for accurate quantification across experimental conditions.
Detection Range: The 31.25–2000 pg/mL range spans from near-basal rat serum IL-1β concentrations through the elevated levels observed in LPS challenge, adjuvant-induced arthritis, and traumatic brain injury models, minimizing the need for serial dilutions or sample concentration in most in vivo paradigms.
