OptiPreserv
Cat. No. DCP-OPCM1X
Sizes: 50 ml and 5 ml (trial)
Description
OptiPreserv represents a breakthrough in stem cell cryopreservation technology—a protein-free freezing medium designed to deliver exceptional cell protection and recovery. Built on the latest advances in cryobiology, OptiPreserv offers superior cell protection in a optimized formulation.
This chemically defined medium eliminates the need for DMSO, animal-derived proteins, and undefined components while delivering exceptional post-thaw viability and maintaining pluripotency markers across multiple stem cell types.

Mechanism of Action
Optipreserv employs a multi-modal approach to cellular cryoprotection:
-
Permeating Cryoprotection: Ethylene glycol penetrates cells to prevent intracellular ice formation
-
Membrane Stabilization: Trehalose interacts with phospholipid membranes to maintain structural integrity
-
Ice Recrystallization Inhibition: PVA and Poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic acid) prevent damaging ice crystal growth during thaw
-
Extracellular Protection: Dextran 40 maintains osmotic balance and prevents cell dehydration
-
Antioxidant Defense: Dual antioxidant system neutralizes reactive oxygen species
-
Calcium Management: EGTA chelation prevents calcium-mediated cellular damage
