Artificial cerebrospinal fluid (ACSF) is a physiological salt solution formulated to closely mimic the ionic composition and osmolarity of native cerebrospinal fluid. It is commonly used to maintain the viability and function of brain and spinal cord tissue during ex vivo experiments, such as slice preparation, perfusion, and electrophysiological recordings, typically under continuous oxygenation with carbogen gas.
CUSTOMIZATION: Please INQUIRE if other concentrations, additions of chemicals/compounds/proteins/supplements, different pH, and modifications are needed.

Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid (ACSF), Standard
Used for preparation, maintenance and recording from acute brain or spinal cord slices, and for basic CNS perfusion experiments under carbogen bubbling.
Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid (ACSF), Advanced
Used for more demanding electrophysiology or long?lasting CNS slice/perfusion experiments where enhanced preservation of synaptic function and neuronal health is required.
