Description
Nerve growth factor inducible factor I-B gamma (NGFIBg, TEC, MINOR, CHN, NOR-1; NR4A3) is a member of orphan nuclear receptor. NGFI-Bg is expressed in skeletal muscle, fetal heart. Its expression is induced in response to various stress stimuli and growth factors. NGFI-Bg has roles in signaling in multiple tissues, including the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. RXR has been shown to be a partner for NR4A1 and NR4A2 but not NR4A3.
Origin
Produced in BALB/c mouse ascites after inoculation with hybridoma of mouse myeloma cells (NS-1) and spleen cells derived from a BALB/c mouse immunized with Baculovirus-expressed recombinant human NGFI-B gamma (2-95 aa).
Note
Sodium azide may react with lead and copper plumbing to form explosive metal azides. Flush with large amounts of water during disposal.
