Description:
M.W.: 502.612 Purity : >90% (HPLC) Molecular Formula : C26H38N4O6 Solubility : Soluble in H2O, MeOH, and DMSO It was reported that probestin strongly inhibited Aminopeptidase M (AP-M, AP-N) (IC50=0.030μg/ml). It had no antimicrobial activity at 100 μg/ml and had low toxicity (LD50 > 250 mg/kg: mice iv injection).
Application Notes
Probestin, having a proline-proline sequence in its structure, was isolated from fermentation broth ofStreptomyces azureus MH663-2F6.1, 2) It inhibited aminopeptidase M (IC50= 0.030 μg/ml), anenkephalin inactivating enzyme, in cerebral membranes.1) It had no antimicrobial activity at 100 μg/mland had low toxicity (LD50 > 250 mg/kg: mice iv injection).1)
