This is a recovery solution suitable for collecting and washing porcine eggs and embryos. It is a fully synthetic medium with phenol red added to the PXM-Hepes medium reported by Yoshioka et al. 1) .
It contains inorganic salts, sugars, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), Hepes, sodium bicarbonate, and phenol red. It is sterilized and can be used as is. It maintains a stable pH even when used under conditions of 37°C and atmospheric pressure.
