Quantification

In this sandwich ELISA, Chorionic Gonadotrophin,HCG in the sample is captured between a pre-coated capture antibody and a detection antibody. Signal intensity is proportional to analyte concentration. Quantification uses a standard curve fitted with Curve Expert software, covering 8 mIU/mL-240 mIU/mL with a minimum detectable dose of 2 mIU/mL.

For research use only (RUO). Not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. Validated in human serum, plasma, urine, cell culture supernates matrices only.
Description

This Human hCG ELISA Kit was designed for the quantitative measurement of Human hCG protein in serum, plasma, urine, cell culture supernates. It is a Sandwich ELISA kit, its detection range is 8 mIU/mL-240 mIU/mL and the sensitivity is 2 mIU/mL.

Alternative Names
CGB3 ELISA Kit; CGB; ELISA Kit; CGB5; ELISA Kit; CGB8 ELISA Kit; Choriogonadotropin subunit beta 3 ELISA Kit; Choriogonadotropin subunit beta ELISA Kit; CG-beta ELISA Kit; Chorionic gonadotropin chain beta ELISA Kit
Function
Beta subunit of the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). hCG is a complex glycoprotein composed of two glycosylated subunits alpha and beta which are non-covalently associated. The alpha subunit is identical to those in the pituitary gonadotropin hormones (LH, FSH and TSH). The beta subunits are distinct in each of the hormones and confer receptor and biological specificity. Has an essential role in pregnancy and maternal adaptation. Stimulates the ovaries to synthesize the steroids that are essential for the maintenance of pregnancy.
